Sim hair…woot!

Sunday, February 6, 2011 I retextured some sim hairs yesterday. Very fun AND I created my own chestnut brown (shown in Haney Myers here) from creator Pooklet's actions. She has more colours and stuff available, but I like to keep things simple...except for browns. I have 5 browns, but just two blacks, blonds and reds.

Simming vs. Writing

Monday, January 10, 2011 Since I'm writing every day in my "i am kaitco" blog, these entries often cross paths. Meet Dorienne Duplex. She knows every sim in the neighborhood and was designed to help other sims make happy homes in sim duplexes.

Thursday, August 26, 2010 In the world of Sims 2 custom content, a minor war is being waged between those who sell their content and those who believe content should be free, stating that EA's EULA states it should be. I've been in the latter camp for several years now, but this is as close as I've ever come to actually paying for a download. I want this hairstyle so badly that I'm not sure I even want to play The Sims 2 until I somehow acquire it.

An official MTS creator

Wednesday, August 25, 2010 With two successful uploads to, I think I can officially call myself an MTS creator. The second house hasn't taken off the way the previous one did, but the fact of the matter is that I've done...twice!

Growing up

Saturday, August 14, 2010 Meet Noah Stanton. Noah is one of my "older" sims in the sense that he was born in-game and I've played him and his family for a very long time. He is the elder child and only son of Taylour and Liam Stanton. Taylour was the only girl born to Tara and Mason Bramble who were the very first sims I ever created, so any child stemming from the Bramble family is very special to me. I've finally decided to let Noah grow up to a teenager after probably three or four "real" years as a child. I think he turned out quite well and I didn't have to make any tweaks to his face to make him presentable. :)

Thursday, June 10, 2010 After 3 and a half years of rejection, I finally have an upload at With each previous rejection, I'd wonder if that was what it felt like to get a rejection letter from a publishing house. Now! I feel unstoppable.

A Sim Abortion

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 My sim Janessa got pregnant while on "birth control" and, even though I tried to make a miscarriage happen "naturally" by letting her Hunger and Energy bars go down, she was definitely going to give birth, so I forced a game miscarriage. I use this option rarely because, if I'm honest with myself, if I really didn't want a sim to get pregnant, I could either let them go without or use the "No Fail Birth Control" option to the pregnancy hack. Even though it's a sim, it still feels very, very wrong.

Meet Yoshimi

Saturday, May 29, 2010 It was bright, pretty day, but I couldn't decide on a subject, so I took a snapshot of one my sims instead. Yoshimi Yamaguchi; she's a part of my effort to put Japanese sims in my game
